Fortune continues to produce and collect throughout Ireland and works as a part-time Lecturer at Limerick School of Art and Design. His work connects with many audiences on many levels and he is as comfortable presenting in a village hall in Wexford as he is at an international film festival or gallery. In recent years much of his work is presented via platforms such as Facebook and You Tube while he also contributes articles and features for many national and local papers. He is currently working for RTÉ on their National Treasure series while he presents a regular slot on the Sean O’Rourke show on RTE 1 which explores Ireland’s ancient and contemporary folklore. Michael lives in Ballindaggin with his partner, Aileen Lambert and their three young children. More info at www.folklore.ie.
