Task Switching - The Space Between 2024
This project was commissioned by IADT’s Teaching and Learning Committee, as part of the 2024 Local Enhancement Projects (LEP), under the auspices of The National Forum for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education. DL832 YR2 Animation students created 2 ADHD Day In The Life Of animations and an animation on Task Switching. Students conducted informal research and developed visual responses in collaboration with Rebecca Roper, who generously gave her time to act as ‘client’ for the project. Because of the sensitivity of the material, many challenges were faced through the project development, including issues of representation, the necessity to anonymise data, identity and the voice of the projects and fundamental issues around visual language and depiction. The project was a valuable piece of challenge based learning. task switching - IADT animators: Amadeus Jackiewicz, Ana Milicevic, Gabriele Cepokaityte, Maija Kurcisa, Ronan Carr, Conor Duke, Mia Farrell IADT Researchers: Gary Blatchford, Keith Foran, Aoife Balfe, Niall Doherty, Ross Ryder, Charlie Connolly, Emma Raftery, David Quin
