Cliona Harmey 19102017

Cliona Harmey creates media assemblages and sculptures which combine multiple systems to explore aspects of early and contemporary communication technologies. She is interested in sculpture, object hacking, diy/enthusiast electronics and different ways of using live data. In 2015, she produced Dublin Ships, a major temporary public commission using live shipping information which was located at the Scherzer Bridge at North Wall Quay in Dublin. More recently she worked with the organisation aemi (artists' & experimental moving image) on “port|river|city”, a programme of artists films and commissions. Harmey is a lecturer in the Fine Art Media Department at NCAD, Dublin.
